These large grapes are definitely the best grapes I’ve ever had.

I had this once a year or two ago, and was not a fan, but I figured I’d give it another shot, and I’m pretty confident it was ripe this time, but, alas, it wasn’t much better than I remember. I don’t think I’ll be trying this again until I can eat it locally.
I remember the first time I had these, I also bought some small apples and baby bananas, it was the week of miniature fruit. They’re comparable to bartlett pears, just smaller.
Named for its appearance, the couple times I’ve had ugli fruit it ended up flavorless. This one had a little flavor, kind of like a really mild grapefruit. I’ll probably give this another try of I find out how to tell when it’s ripe, or when it’s local.
The Wikipedia article describes the flavor as a cross between a cucumber and a honeydew melon. I found this one to taste more like a cross between a cucumber and a tomato; perhaps it was not ripe enough. Although, I don’t really know how to tell if it was ripe or not.
I found this to be a little more tart than the red ones, but that could have been a ripeness issue, not an inherent quality of the fruit. Also you eat the little black seeds, but don’t bother trying to chew them, Chris.
These clementines are crazy. At least twice the size of regular clementines. Other than that though, they’re basically the same. Oh, and they had seeds.
Baby bananas are pretty awesome, they’re just like a cavendish bananas, but in a more personal size. Unlike cavendish, though you can’t real peel them from the stem, it’s best to pinch them at the other end and peel from there.
